Okamoto’s Karate was founded in 1984 based on the mission of providing quality instruction to Alaskans. Okamoto’s has grown to offer classes in Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla and Soldotna. Okamoto Sensei leads an outstanding team of instructors dedicated to helping each and every student achieve their maximum potential!

About The Style

Okamoto’s combines the strengths of Japanese Karate and Korean Tae Kwon Do to give its students a powerful and dynamic martial arts curriculum. The program is designed to be body friendly to beginners, while striving to improve physical fitness and overall dexterity.

Okamoto’s provides invigorating workouts in which the benefits of aerobic exercise, strength training, the use of positive thinking, and mental imagery are successfully incorporated into teaching and training methods similar to those used by Olympic athletes around the world.
